Exciting Home and on-site working opportunity for an aspiring Head of Electronics/ CTO/ Head of Hardware Engineer to join a next generation computing company that specialises in high power computing solutions within the renewable energy sector to deliver green and commercially viable solutions for a high profile and growing customer base.
Head of Electronics Position
The position initially involves acting as the interface between the outsourced electronics consultancies spanning across FPGA, ASIC and PCB based development, ensuring briefs and product requirements are executed to the required standard and life cycle developments are successfully completed (so this may require hands-on FPGA re-design). The client will also look to bring this development in house so the role would include making the strategic development decisions and over time building out a small and specialised team of developers to complete the hands on work. The work may therefore be suited to a very competent Lead Engineer who has strong hands on skills they are looking to maintain whilst also transitioning into a more senior role.
Head of Electronics Requirements
You must have very strong hands on Electronics Design skills, ideally across FPGA or ASIC design and also be a good communicator, the management responsibilities are more around managing life cycle developments (across development progress and specification, manufactures and Tech departments) than people management. But the role can include people management aspects over time as the team grows, the management experience is not important, having worked at an expert level for Electronics requirements is much more important.
Head of Electronics Application Process
Please apply with an up to date CV. The process is then a phone call followed by a further video call. The position also includes a combination of remote and on-site working. The client are most concerned with finding a suitable calibre of candidate and therefore can accommodate a flexible start time (do not be put off if you have a notice period to honour). The client can also engage with a suitable candidate on the basis of an initial 6-month day rate contract before transitioning to permanent.
