Exciting Bristol based and remote working opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join an industry leading wearable IOT device company for cross industry application. As a Senior Software Engineer you are expected to have the ability to complete tasks in an independent way and also have the appetite to mentor more junior engineers, the core of the work is completing Embedded C development onto STM platform platforms.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
The position is very much hands on embedded Software development across the full life cycle, you will gain exposure to working with safety critical medical standards (but you should already have experience working in a regulated environment whether that be defence, medical or automotive). You will be working in a cross discipline team consisting of mechanical, electronics, embedded and higher level application development team. As this is a senior position you are fine to have a few days per week working from home but the client do want a minimum of 50% on-site Bristol based working. Knowledge of C++ or any app development is also beneficial.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer Requirements
You should be familiar with C based Microprocessor development across either STM, NXP or Nordic platforms and ideally have experience with Bluetooth Low Energy although other IOT based wireless experience for connected devices may also be recognised as suitable. knowledge of Any experience working on algorithm documentation/UML/ System Architectural knowledge or any experience to medical/ 62304 standards is highly beneficial or failing this any experience working in a regulated environment is also considered relevant.
